Questions and feedback asked/ given at the end of the pitch - "You talked in such depth about all the different aspects of your product, but clearly in the first instance you're looking at quite a young target audience (I appreciate you'll want to grow it), but taking into consideration it is quite a young target audience and you are wanting them to be engaging in these videos and fashion- what about some of those ethical and legal considerations? "
-"I'll go from a business point of views, what I'm not sure about- are you actually, (because you talked about there being write ups, and interviews, and pictures of models) so when it comes to staffing, are you going to use writers and photographers? So do you just sell the clothes using things that are already created or is it an independent thing?"
-"You have a great passion for your product, and it was great to see you go off script, however it would be even better to see you without that page in front of you."
-"You spoke about targeting a wider target audience, how would you go about targeting the older generation- foreigners to the digital age as you would say?"
How to improve my pitch after the feedback given I think if I was to improve my app further the first thing I would to is touch more on legal and ethical considerations. Because young people will be using the app, it is so important to have the right things in place to ensure we are not providing them with access to things that are not age appropriate. It is also important to consider that personal details shouldn't really be taken from anyone under the age of 16. Putting age restrictions on the app would be a good idea. I could also look at the BBFC website to consult what sort of things are inappropriate for what ages.
I need to make it more clear that my app is a platform in which people can find their favourite artists clothes and where to buy them- not an app that recreates these clothes and sells them itself. It is important to address that OTR is not a fashion brand, it is a styling app.
In terms of improving the performance of my pitch, learning the script off by heart will look more professional and will allow me to engage in eye contact with the people I am pitching to.
